Lina the Icon

Lina Bradford is a multi-hyphenate talent who has cemented her international reputation as an actress, radio personality, and producer-star of her interview series “In the Dollhouse with Lina,” and her newest venture, “The Cutting Up: a Kiki With Connie and Lina,” a podcast she co-hosts with Connie Fleming. Lina is native New Yorker, professionally trained dancer, and iconic nightlife personality dubbed the “Princess of Light” for her signature ability to bring people together through music and her infectious zest for life. Her consecutive 10-year DJ residency on Fire Island Pines, commemorated in her documentary Linnish, made her a staple of the queer enclave. Known for her rotation of popular weekly parties and deep expertise in dance, deep house, and disco, she’s an integral part of NYC nightlife while embodying advocacy for Black trans women. A longtime activist, she serves as board member and global ambassador for the Hetrick-Martin Institute and chair member for GMHC, working with organizations like SAGE and GLAAD. Her DJ work has taken her from the 2022 White House Correspondents Dinner to Colman Domingo’s 2025 Met Gala party, the 2025 U.S. Open, and beyond.
